For all of our Atlanta airport goers, whether you’re ATL based or connecting always, you’ve got to check out the newest addition to the Delta Sky Club portfolio at D18.
If you’re flying through Atlanta anytime soon, here’s your sign to get to the airport early (yes, on purpose). Delta just unveiled the brand-new Sky Club at Gate D18, and it’s more than just a place to wait for your flight. It’s a vibe. A retreat. A fully redesigned experience that says: travel can be beautiful AND efficient.

I was honored to be invited to attend the grand opening celebration of this newly opened Delta Sky Club…

and from the moment I stepped inside, it was clear — this isn’t just another lounge. It’s the newest and biggest Delta Sky Club in Atlanta, with thoughtful design choices, elevated food and drink options, and one feature I didn’t know I needed until now: lighting that actually flatters you on a video call. (Iconic.)
Here’s a Quick Look at Delta Sky Club D18 at ATL:
- Location: Concourse D, Gate D18
- 512 seats — the most of any Sky Club in Atlanta
- Hours: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
- Design by: Delta’s in-house team led by Claude Roussel
- Seasonal culinary menu (think thoughtful Southern flair, no cafeteria vibes here)
- Power outlets at *nearly* every seat
- 9+ soundproof booths for calls, with adjustable lighting

First Impressions: Homey Comfort Meets Professional Design
The moment I walked in, it felt different. Light-filled. Open. Spacious in that “I can breathe here” kind of way. The ceilings? High. The energy? Immaculate.

The blend of textures, architectural detail, and high-end finishes gives this lounge a grounded, luxurious feel — but it still feels warm. Comfortable. Almost homey. It’s a rare balance of professional polish and laid-back invitation, and it works beautifully.

The Staff at Delta Sky Club D18 Deserves a Shoutout
This deserves its own section because the staff made the entire experience shine. Genuinely warm and excited to be there, every single person I encountered was kind, present, and clearly proud of this space. You could feel it in the way they moved, greeted guests, and answered questions. It didn’t feel performative. It felt like this was a place people were excited to be working in.
Several staff even hyped me up while I was taking photos with my welcome cocktail (which was muy delicioso)…this team is genuinely good energy, all around.

Culinary Highlights: Not Your Average Lounge Buffet
I don’t think I’ve met a Delta Sky Club yet that didn’t have an elevated food offering. And D18 follows suit. The food stations rotate AM and PM activations, so you’re never stuck with sad, stale muffins or mystery pasta from who knows when. The culinary team puts real intention into the menu — thoughtful Southern-inspired touches meet fresh, seasonal ingredients in a way that feels upscale without being overcomplicated.

I especially appreciated how accommodating and attentive the chefs were — when I asked about ingredients due to my lactose allergy, they happily double-checked everything and made sure I had options that worked for me.
Honestly? I wanted to try everything. From hearty, warm dishes to crisp, clean salads, it all looked (and tasted) like something you’d actually choose for yourself— not settle for.

The Delta Sky Club at D18 is where you start your food tour, far before you land at your destination.
Cocktails & Comfort
Let’s talk drinks. This bar doesn’t play. From bubbly to mocktails and FULL bar with a large selection, everything is served with care and plenty of smiles.

The layout encourages conversation or quiet focus — depending on your vibe. There’s room to work, sip, scroll, or stare dramatically out the window and pretend you’re in a movie (you know you’ve done it). And, further attention to detail, there are purse hooks under the bar, just like you expect from a trendy or upscale restaurant.
Oh — and at least 75% of the seating (at least by my observation) has outlets, which might be the sexiest thing a lounge can offer.
Intentional Workspaces
Need to take a video call while you’re about your globetrotting, country-hopping life? These soundproof booths were made for it — whether it’s a quick catch-up with loved ones or a high-stakes client meeting that needs to go perfectly, this space has your back (and your front, what with that gorgeous video call lighting option).

That lighting is unreal. It’s adjustable, flattering, and clearly designed by someone who understands how important it is to feel confident on camera. It’s the kind of detail that turns a lounge into a launchpad — a high-vibe environment that helps you show up as the most elevated version of yourself, even between flights.
Final Thoughts on Delta Sky Club D18 in Atlanta
This isn’t just a new lounge. It’s a signal of how Delta is redefining luxury travel experiences — especially at their Atlanta hub. Design-forward, experience-focused, tech-friendly, and infused with Southern hospitality in a way that doesn’t feel cliché.

It’s the kind of space that lets you recalibrate — where everything around you is intentional, and you can feel yourself expanding into more. More calm. More creativity. More of the life you’re choosing to live.
If your idea of travel includes charging all your devices, catching up on email in peace, sipping something sparkling, and actually enjoying yourself before boarding — this is your spot. The new Delta Sky Club at D18 delivers next-level vibes in every sense of the phrase. It’s not just a lounge; it’s a reminder that travel can feel good again.
