We opted to stay at Reunion Resort in Kissimmee. It’s super close to both major theme parks, if that interests you, and it apparently has world-class golfing.
For our first day, we checked into our room and then hung out at the pool with water slide and major splash pad and lazy river right there on the resort property!

I said room, but we had a full-size apartment at the resort (referred to as a villa at Reunion), and it was awesome for our party of 5.
