It really shouldn’t be that difficult to find swimwear that fits curvy bodies properly, yet somehow it is (like, we put a man on the moon but this STILL eludes swimwear designers). Thank goodness, however, for last year’s Miami Swim Week where I discovered how well Adore Me Swimwear fits, and at half the price per suit of your typical swimsuit. We are talking $50 for the full suit, AT THE MOST. If you sign up for the subscription, you may be paying as little as $25 for each swimsuit.
Seriously. I can fluctuate between a small 2 to a larger 4… depending on my eating habits and workouts, and, of course, having hypothyroidism definitely contributes to that. The great thing about Adore me suits, is that they are flattering and still fit in those size ranges without biting into my skin in that uncomfortable, un-cute way (you know that one I am talking about)… I have Adore Me swimsuits from last summer I was able to wear throughout the year, and I am so psyched to be stocked up for this summer, too!
The video above shows all of my favorite Adore Me Swimwear on me. Just below are visual links to every swimsuit seen in the video–just click any of the photos. Most of the styles come in different prints, and prints come in different styles.
At the time of the video, I am a standard size 4. I am 5’4″ tall, 34DD, 27″ waist, 37″ low hips. I carry my weight in my lower stomach, love handles, hips, thighs and boot-ay.
I ordered a small in all the Adore Me Swimwear and the fit is pretty much on point. I do think I could have used an XS in the cover-up, because my waist is smaller and there’s plenty of room for my hips.
The cool thing about the lower-cut bikini bottoms is that it is simple to loosen or tighten the straps. Even better, while being customizable to your body, they’re not just a boring string bikini–there’s still a fashion design element there.
These two vintage inspired suits (naturally my faves) have me daydreaming I’m in a Slim Aarons photograph in Palm Springs or the Amalfi coast. The photos should be linked up, so click and it will take you to the specific swimsuit on Adore Me’s website.
I have more photos of these two suits coming soon in blog posts specifically highlighting the retro-inspired goodness, so stay tuned!
