This post was sponsored Pernod Ricard USA. I only work with brands that I love because I want to share the things that make my life a little brighter, a little easier, a little more fashionable, a little healthier, a little more enjoyable and a little better with YOU, my follower and supporter. I promise I will only ever be honest with you and talk about the things I genuinely love :) Thank you for your support to keep me creating :D
Necktie. Socks. Boxes of assorted chocolates. Those weird tiered boxes with more not-all-that-fancy salted nuts in them than anyone ever wanted. So overdone. But what about the Gift of High End Liquors?
Necklaces or watches are luxurious gifts, yes, but those are risky because jewelry is a personal fashion statement. Do they prefer gold? Rose gold? Silver? White gold? Platinum? Leather?
Here’s what I have discovered. Almost everyone in my friend group, and all of my professional circles, enjoy both the taste AND the experience of a fine cordial, cocktail, or smooth spirit. The one thing in every home I’ve walked into that never goes to waste is the bottles. Quite literally, I have even seen high end liquor bottles turned into home decor. And THAT is how much people cherish the finer things—the taste of the drink, the experience that brings people together, and even a bottle that is an aesthetic pleasure in and of itself. So why NOT Gift High End Liquors to the ones you love?
So, how do you know which fine liquor to gift to whom?
I have gathered some of my favorite gift-able bottles: Martell® Blue Swift, The Glenlivet® 14 Year Old, Chivas® Regal 13 Year Old, Avión Reserva 44, and Jameson® Black Barrel. Read on to see who gets what!
For your colleagues, clients, and contacts, the old-fashioned lover and, yes, even your boss: Glenlivet 14 year single malt.
Glenlivet is clean, smooth, and possesses a balanced flavor. Perfect served completely neat, and that is absolutely how you can present your gift. However, if you really want to impress, package it with a little bottle of bitters.
For the sports lover—whether it’s football or fútbol, Chivas 13-year is perfect to replace a game day beer with the smooth taste of class – both smooth and accessible!
For the tequila connoisseur in your life who likes it neat—you know the ones—they love to dance and possess a general lust for life: Avión Reserva 44. Each bottle is hand numbered and signed, which definitely adds to this bottle’s giftability. And the vanilla and spices in the aroma are sure to conjure holiday memories!
For the creative in your life—think photographer, actor, painter, graphic designer: Jameson Black Barrel.
For the wine lover and/or foodie: Martell Blue Swift. The first ever spirit drink made of VSOP cognac finishing in bourbon barrels, it is made from grapes and will appeal to adventurous taste buds and pairs well with food (yum)! VSOP stands for “Very Superior Old Pale” and means it has been aged over 4 years.
When it comes to presentation, I highly suggest letting your luxe gift breathe—no need to fully wrap. Simply tie a ribbon around the neck and curl the ends. Finally, a way to gift that won’t get returned!
Depending on your location, you can find any of these in-store and/or online at your local Total Wine and BevMo! I actually had a little trouble locating the Avion 44, but I just made a few calls to my local stores and found one to order it for me, and it was so worth it.
