How to Gift High End Liquors and to Whom

Necktie. Socks. Boxes of assorted chocolates. Those weird tiered boxes with more not-all-that-fancy salted nuts in them than anyone ever wanted. So overdone. But what about the Gift of High End Liquors?

Necklaces or watches are luxurious gifts, yes, but those are risky because jewelry is a personal fashion statement. Do they prefer gold? Rose gold? Silver? White gold? Platinum? Leather? 

Here’s what I have discovered. Almost everyone in my friend group, and all of my professional circles, enjoy both the taste AND the experience of a fine cordial, cocktail, or smooth spirit. The one thing in every home I’ve walked into that never goes to waste is the bottles. Quite literally, I have even seen high end liquor bottles turned into home decor. And THAT is how much people cherish the finer things—the taste of the drink, the experience that brings people together, and even a bottle that is an aesthetic pleasure in and of itself. So why NOT Gift High End Liquors to the ones you love?

So, how do you know which fine liquor to gift to whom?

For the tequila connoisseur in your life who likes it neat—you know the ones—they love to dance and possess a general lust for life: Avión Reserva 44.
